I first met Connie a week before her wedding, as she was coming from Hong Kong. I was still in my sling and hopefully she wasn’t too worried about that!  We explored our venues planned the day together. We hit it off and I knew this would be a wonderfully lovely and laid back wedding. Shawn and Connie were married May 5th in a lovely private ceremony in a house overlooking Table Rock Beach in South Laguna Beach.  It was a beautiful day, a beautiful ceremony and a very beautiful couple.  After the ceremony, we went down to the beach for some formal photos of the bride and groom and then over to Seven4One hotel in Laguna Beach, for the dinner and reception. It was the perfect location for an intimate and cozy wedding  - so very personal! I really enjoyed getting to know all of Shawn’s and Connie’s family and friends who were able to be there to support them in their beautiful day!

There is nothing quite so thrilling as being a part of that magic moment when a man takes a knee to ask his love for her hand in marriage…and she says, “yes.”  I get chills every time.  It’s the very beginning of a new path that two people set out on together.  I’ve done this several times now, and it never gets old. And part of the fun is that the gal usually never knows that it is coming, or that I was there to document the entire process.  And this was one of those times when she was really and truly surprised!  This session had been rescheduled any number of times, due to weather problems and conflicts with the bride-to-be making other plans. I told Danny that if she only knew what he was planning, that surely wouldn’t have been a problem!  But it finally happened and it couldn’t have been on a more beautiful day!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

I was excited to shoot at the exclusive Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach this beautiful November afternoon. But when I met this gorgeous family I became even more excited! The colors they chose worked so beautifully with the location and the sunny weather!  And every member of the family was just beautiful – how do they pull it off?   There were so many pretty images from this session, I had the hardest time narrowing down which ones to post for their sneak peak!  Gallery will be posted very soon Nona!
