I’ve had a surprise party or two (or three) thrown for me in my life. Only one was truly a surprise. It’s not easy to pull those off. But this one was executed flawlessly…Michael was truly surprised (and delighted) when he arrived at the El Niguel Country Club to a huge party with lots and lots of guests (family and friends) who all managed to keep this grand event a total surprise! And everyone had a great time!  And when so many of family and friends come together, what better time to grab some quick portraits of everyone looking their best! Here’s just a little sampling of the snaps I shot!

This family was all together for the week of Christmas and I was lucky enough to take their portraits the night before I left to go out of town! And what a gorgeous day it was – sunny and blue skies in Laguna Beach – quite the contrast to the cold and snow that greeted me in Utah!  I loved meeting this beautiful family and their loveable pit bull puppy! I am truly delighted (even overjoyed) to see a weather forecast predicting sun for this weekend!  As much as I LOVE the rain  -and especially the resulting greenery – I don’t love having so many photo sessions rained out, and it seems to happen every weekend! But this weekend should bring sun – and that perfectly compliments the beauty that is Laguna Canyon!  I recently discovered the happiness that is shooting in the less manicured, rugged beauty of this canyon on this photo shoot:
