I think this has been my favorite costume for these girls…it suits them - and this ranch – perfectly! And what better additions to a styled cowgirl session than Dolly the mare and Curly the colt! Our day of mini sessions was more than just a photo shoot – it was a day of fun, with tractor rides, crafts, homemade chili for dinner, and my favorite – playing with Curly. The girls of course were adorable in their matching pink cowgirl outfits and I love to see how their personalities shine through. And all of the new things they are learning about in school – Enjoy this sneak peek Miss “R.”

Cowgirls in Pink {Halloween Mini Sessions }
It’s been such a pleasure to watch this twinkly-eyed, smiley gal grow the last couple of years. Those baby blues, flowing blond hair and sweet nature always make a great impact on film. You can see some of her past sessions here and here. And of course these mini sessions were a blast as always – more like a party than a photo shoot!

This gorgeous young family was referred to me by this family who came out to visit from Nevada 2 years ago! I love to get fun, new referrals from past clients! And of course, Laguna Beach is a lovely place to come and visit in August when one lives in Las Vegas! What better time and place to have some family portraits taken. And what made it more fun is that it was baby “J’s” first visit ever to the beach, and as always it is so neat to watch children experience the “firsts” in life and to live vicariously through them. She at first wanted nothing to do with the sand, trying to hold her feet up and not touch it. But she seemed to think chasing the waves with daddy was fun, and by the end of the evening we even got her to sit in the sand with mom and dad close by! The love and joy this family shares is self-evident in the images captured, I think….enjoy your sneak peek “C” family!

Anniversary portraits are becoming one of my favorites to do lately… I think it’s so awesome to have the relationship captured as a reaffirmation of one’s love! A beautiful way to commemorate any number of years together. And in this case, it was 25 years together for this awesome couple, and we had a blast together, speaking in French and trying out all sorts of new locations at my favorite Heisler Park/Diver’s Cove beach spot. And they brought along some family as well, making for a couple of pretty adorable couples. I so enjoyed my time with the – and the end result! Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek as well!
I really enjoyed spending a lovely August evening with this fun-loving family from out of state. Now that it’s fall, I’m enjoying remembering those golden days of summer! Enjoy these fun loving images from your session “F family”

I look forward to getting to see this family every year in August. They come all the way out from Ohio, and I believe this was my 4th year having the privilege of capturing their beautiful family and relationships! We’ve been to Wood’s Cove, Crystal Cove (near where they stay each summer), Diver’s Cove and finally now Shaw’s Cove. Their home will be covered with canvases of all the beaches in Laguna Beach! You can see some of their other sessions here and here! It’s so much fun to see how the kids have grown each year. They are always so polite and well behaved…and this year there was another new and fun and gorgeous addition! Here’s to hoping she’ll be back again next summer! We had a gorgeous day at the beach this year (as opposed to last year, when we were fogged in and shooting in high tide with virtually no beach to use)! As always, it has been a delight “G” family. Enjoy your sneak peek!

I have had many many clients over the years come to me from out of state and who are staying at the Newport Coast Villas or at Pelican Hill across the way. But this was the first time I was asked to do the session on the property of the villas. I was a bit unsure about what sort of settings I might be able to work with there, but as it turned out, there were a lot of lovely places to shoot. And this extended family group was so fun and laid back and….funny! They kept me laughing the entire evening, and I didn’t want out time together to end! I could see that they have great times together. Reminded me of my own family, who also just spent a week here at a beach house in Newport Beach. I love to see the closeness and warmth in family relationships!

Visiting from afar {Seal Beach Family Portraits}
I love getting to meet new people, and I love that I have so man clients come to me from so far away! This group hailed from as far away as New Jersey (and a few other places as well, I believe). They were gathering at Surfside Colony in Seal Beach for the first week of August, and I was more than happy to take some large extended family group portraits as well as individual and smaller family portraits. To make it easier on everyone, I just came to where they were staying on the beach (although I did get lost twice on my way, which made things interesting!) We had virtually the whole beach to ourselves! The only real bummer was that we weren’t able to get the top down on the convertible the grandkids wanted a picture in with their grandparents. Other than that, everything was just picture perfect! Enjoy your Sneak Peek!

Beautiful Remembrance {Huntington Beach Family Portraits}
I was so excited to meet this lovely family for our session. Sara contacted me over Facebook and I felt like we connected right away! She had some awesome and touching ideas, including bringing along a balloon to represent their daughter Allison who was born stillborn a year ago this July. It was a beautiful sentiment and came across very beautifully in a visual sense as well. And the love between Sara, Andrew and Maddie was so apparent to me, and so very easy to capture! I can’t wait to photograph this amazing family again some day! Enjoy your sneak peek and your gallery that will be released today!

I’ve had so many clients this summer coming from out of town or out of state and visiting at either Pelican Hill or the Marriot Villas in Newport Coast. It’s been great to get to know and shoot on both of those properties. Pelican hill had a lovely area to shoot at, and we were able to get this family’s portraits done in a matter of minutes – quite possibly the shortest and easiest family portrait session I have ever done. Thanks for sharing your morning with me! Enjoy your sneak peek!
